in this months Car and Driver, once again the Accord has won the best family sedan. in its article, as it quotes, "This year marks the 23rd renewal of the 10Best. In all but four of those 23 years, there's been a Honda Accord on the list. No other car has come close". my question is if ours were one of the 10 best, back in the day. if so, do any of yall have an old Car and Driver magazines with our 3geez in them. if so, i would like to see or just read what their reviews of our car was. if someone could scan in one, that would be cool.

Our cars made the 10 Best list in 86,87,88, 89. The only years that the Accord didn't make it were 92,93,96,& 97. Those are the years that the Camry took the Accord's spot.

In 1983, we posted our first 10Best cars list, and over the course of 20 years we've evaluated some 845 vehicles. In all, 27 brands have won a spot on the list at least once, although some have scored far more regularly. The all-time 10Best boss brand? The scoreboards tell the story in brief, but we think this prescient observation from a much younger Brock Yates sums it up nicely. Asked for his counsel on 10Best balloting in 1985, Yates opined that "a guy could make a pretty fair argument that the 10 best cars available anywhere are all Hondas!"

That's actually from a Honda ad. The 10-best article was published a few months ago.
