    Body Kits

I'm bored so I'm making a thread about body kits. You're a noob and want to put a kit on your 3g? Well there are 3 made that bolt right on, they are made by
    Erebuni

    Kaminari

    Xenon

Those are the straight bolt on kits for the 3geez, usually fairly spendy too. Of course they are kinda outdated in looks wise I think, so there have been a few of use to try our own thing. From the past experiences it looks like the best way to go with things is the 90-93 Accord rear end, 90-93 Accord sides (have to cut about 4 inches off), and the 90-93 Integra front. This mostly goes for the sedans and coupes, the hatch rear bumpers are shorter so they're harder to find something to make fit.

    zwaag's car (90-93 accord kit)

    kicker1_solo's car (90-93 integra front)

The main problem with the 90-93 integra and accord bumpers is mounting them. ICEMAN707 did the smart thing and used the top of the 86-89 accord bumper and molded it to the new one so that everything ligns up perfectly and he can bolt it on. For the integra front, there's a lip that sticks up that you will have to cut off and you will have to cut out a little bit for the headlights to work. You can see it in this pic, the white is where I cut

I can't say if you will need to do any cutting on the 90-93 accord bumper because I haven't used that one, but the integra one must be cut to fit.
And last but not least is another accord with a 90-93 accord full kit.

Imagestation is down right now so you'll have to wait to see my pics.
I guess that's all for now, just thought I'd make a quick little FAQ for the noobs.

So the 90-93 Accord has the same front bumper/read bumper and sides as an 88 accord lx? is it a direct bolt on or does it require cutting like the 90-93 tegS?

read, I said it in the above post. And it doesn't bolt right on, you will need to find a way to bolt it on.

Dont forget mine! 98 civic Wings West Avenger kit....

in the above picture, the kit was only sitting on the car and was not changed whatsoever to fit. Only small modifications are needed to make it work. Under the headlights needs to be trimmed out so they can flip up/down. Some small fiberglass work could be done to help the side markers flow better with the body kit. Other then that, just a civic grill could be put in to help fill the grill gap.

This has DEFINATELY been asked of you a million times kicker, but I am, as you know, a complete n00b, how did you fsten your 90-93 teg bumper? It seems to me taht you would have to make custom brackets or someting, please write back or something, or falme me if you will, but bear in mind that I am VERY new to the 3g accord scene!

I used a 90-93 teg bumper, took the cover off, put the aftermarket cover on and made some mods so make it bolt up to the accord. It was fairly easy.

not sure about the price, fits right on the car, and you have to paint it.

So, hostile, you took the foam in the bumper, put it in the new bumper, and made minor midifications to the bolt on places to make it bolt on, did this take any longer then a day?
