Have you run your gas to empty or right above empty a lot? sometimes if you do that in older cars such as ours....the screen on the end of the fuel pump will get clogged. try taking out the fuel pump, (access under the trunk floor mat on the upper level toward the front of the car are 2 circular lids) and get a can of air and blow the rust and what not off the screen. let me know if it helps

do a tune up and go from there. plugs, wires, cap n rotor, oil change, all filters. and maybe clean the TB.

i agree with these guys. the first thing i would change is the fuel filter, then dist. cap, rotor, plugs, wires. I bet one or all of these will fix the problem. you should definetly do the rest of the tune up, but this might hit the nail on the head.

you should pull the access cover off your pcm, under the back of your driver's seat and see if that little red l.e.d. is flashing any codes at ya. then replace your ignition's secondary circuts. cap rotor wires and plugs. while oil and air filters should certianly be kept clean and fresh, they will seldom cause misfires. if a clogged fuel system were the problem, it'd make sence it'd break up at higher speeds, not off the line. maybe it might also behove you to pull your valve cover and double check all your timing marks, and check the condition of your timing belt.
