    It's like xmas, opening boxes!

    Closeup of the Magnaflow cat.

So I got it installed at a muffler shop and here are the installed pics!

Hey what happened to my exhaust?

    There it is!

Straight thru muffler that sounds pretty nice.

Shameless pic of the front of the car.

    Oh yea another new part.

Hella H4 Housings. Will install it soon and get hopefully get some nice output pictures too.

Here are the video of Stock exhaust reving and magnaflow revving.

    Stock Exhaust

    Magnaflow

Definitely the magnaflow sounds really nice. These videos sound pretty good if you have speakers that can handle bass. On my laptop the video of the magnaflow sounds like it is quieter than stock when in reality it is alot louder.

    Enjoy and comment away!

22" looks good... I need a nice long one too and a quieter muffler for my setup.

    I'm jealous.

Yes Steve, I've been meaning to get one. The mufflershop wanted like 50bucks a tip and I thought hell with you! I'll probably get one sooner or later. Any suggestions on where to get tips? I went to the local kragen and they supplied some crappy tips.

It isn't very loud. It is loud enough but the tone is deep and isn't like most of the ricer mufflers you hear on civics and stuff. It basically sounds like a old car with a broken muffler more or less like it.

I got my Bosal tip at Pep Boys for $25. They should come in a variety of sizes. 3" or 3 1/2" will look best. Mine is 3 1/2"

Very nice exhaust!!!!!!congrats, race cat will liberate 2-3whp, but when you race on track, is better to put out completely the cat (replace it with straight pipe).

I have no cat but I was driving behind my car once and the fumes was making me dizzy. I'd probably pop in a good 2.5" cat if I redo my exhaust.

I live in California; home of the smog nazis. I rather get a highflo be able to pass smog without much trouble and at least look like I'm considering the environment by running a CAT.

very nice! i love the sound of the new exhaust! i'm waiting for the piping for mine to come in... (borla muffler, though)

i like it. don't get a "real" tip. maybe weld on an extra couple of inches so it sticks out past the lip of the bumper, but i wouldn't bother with some blingin' tip. well, that's what i'm doing anyway. i think it looks better that way. looks like you really mean business, IMO. just 2.5" of T-409 SS tacked onto the back there.

oh, and if your car is part LXi and part SEi, why not call it the SEXi? SEXi beast.

Looks good... what are the inlet, outlet sizes on that muffler? I'm thinking of throwing an ES tuning oval muffler on my car, and from what ive heard it should sound something like that... I think yours sounds awesome.,

The inlet and outlet are 2.25"

To tell you the truth, i was going to buy an ES Oval for this car but the design of the magnaflow basically the same straight thru design. I compared it to my roommate's ES oval and I figured I got this Magnaflow for about 60bucks + shipping at Magnaflow 5x8 Oval versus $110 for the ES oval from JHPUSA Click here

I looked thru the inlet of the es oval and the magnaflow and they looked indentical. The only thing is the chamber on the es oval seems to be a little bigger. Probably instead of a 5x8 it was a 5x9. Good luck with your muffler, I thought you had a remus muffler on your car

I've thought about it. We'll see won't we?

right now there are a few more things I rather be doing to my car at this point before I go into big projects like a Turbo. I neeed to rebleed my brake fluid, get new rotors, pads and some other few parts to do.
