Stupid question: what is normal mileage for my car?

Stupid question: what is normal mileage for my car? I tried to searh it but..
It was 14 l /100 km (17 miles/gal.) in town. I replaced plugs, fuel and air filters, cleaned injectors and distributor contacts and adjusted idle speed. Tires areOK.
Now my milleage is about 11 liter per 100 km in town (21.5 miles per gallon if my calculation is OK)
I want to know is it normal or not, my driving style is not too agressive.
My next step will be valve adjusment if it is necessary.

It should be somewhere around 30 or so miles per gallon I think. Here is an old thread you can compare it too, and one more about milage.

Well, you have a B20 under the hood so you won't be quite as fuel efficient as those of us in the states with our lowly A20's. Just for a frame of reference though, my 89 Prelude with the DOHC B20 (similar to your motor) gets about 24-25mpg in town.

Shit! I just read those threads. 30 - 34 mpg! It is 7- 8 liters / 100 km!
In town! I can't belive it!
By the way, american gallon = 3.785 liter ,and mile = 1.6 km, right?

i didnt get real good mileage in my A20...but i also drove the snot out of it.


30-34 is downhill with the wind towards a magnet factory....21 in town isnt too bad..or at least i dont think so

definitely have to keep in mind you have a B20A2 in your car not an A20A. I get 25mpg mixed with city + highway.

1 mile = 1.6km
1 US gallon = 3.7854118 liter

i make about 23mpg.

i also have a reground cam and a tendency to rev more than necessary.

Thanks! I feel better now. But I'll do a valve adjusment as soon as I find a new gasket.

i'm getting abouit 16.0. or at least i was. i just changed the air filter yesterday and put in a bottle of lucas fuel system cleaner. so i'll see how that helps. and i do tend to accelerate a bit hard. so that might help as well. i'll prob. change plugs soon as well and see how that works out.
