    H22A header for B20A, worth a shot?

Well in the light of a h22a turbo manifold being able to fit on the B20, I was thinking of buying one of those cheap ebay h22a header (~$130US). They have somewhat of a small collector, but if it needs to be heavily modified to fit anyway, then who cares. Does anyone have an idea of how far off the whole thing is, except for the flange?

i haven't looked but you might consider how you would get the O2 sensor working with it...
but besides that, i would think there was plenty of room for it. just get a nice flex pipe to make it work with your exhaust.

Either way your going to have to cut and re-weld it because of the angle. So adding the O2 is no problem if you going that far.

I dont have an O2 sensor. Rob have you compared the two manifolds since you know that the angle is different? But changing the angle of the 2 runners wouldnt be a big deal.

I know its not a big deal but i was just putting it out there since most people here dont have the tools to do it and it should be modified on the car.

there probably is, but the cost of a custom header would most likely be way over the cost of a mass-produced H22 header.

And they're made out of stainless steel. If I were to have someone make a stainless header around here, it would get pretty expencive. I can get an ebay header for $230 US shipped. But of course with the risk of it not being able to fit at all.... Have you looked into getting a custom one made for the B20A in the UK?

I'm thinking it'll be pulse tuned similar to intake mani's
Surely even if it was a stock H22 header it would be tuned for high v-tec rpm, which would prolly be too high for us B20s?
However, the boffins of the board came up with the B16/B18 manifolds so....any min now....
and i've been very clever and realised that we are always driving in the mid-high rpm range anyways!
