do you have them on your 3gee? if so, pics would be great.
of the lights alone, how you fit everything in place, etc...
people will be more likely to buy if they see an example of a finished product.
and the kit comes with everything but houseing? ballests, bulbs, lenses, etc.
    thanks.

HIDs look very very nasty in the H4 diamond housings. Way too much glare even with shields. I tried to sell a complete set here for $200 with the glare shields a while back but nobody wanted it.

Hella ECE H4 housings are a different story but those are pretty pricey. That or projectors is the only way to go.

looks like he probably just has the ballast+ bulbs for sale. You still need an h4 adapter to use with our housings. Casper shields are the best adapters for our cars that hold the d2s or d2r capsules firmly.

To do the HID's right you should use a projector that has a cut off shield. Otherwise you will end up blinding people with a retrofit H4 housing. I started to build a retrofit with Audi A6 projectors, Ballasts, and bulbs but sold it when i needed money. Here is as far as i got.

My problem was copensating for the longer projectors which extended the H4 housing about an inch plus you need room for the ballast connector. I might try to do it again if i can track down the supplies from the dealership i use to work for. They definatly are nice but the downfall are the loss of highbeams unless i can find a bi-xenon projector that is not so long. I had a set but they were longer than the regular A6 projetors that had a independent high beam.

So if you hand this is a good project but it takes time and patience for a nice end result.

I don't know anything about lighting, but I can certainly visualize what you are saying about them being too long for us to use in the flip up housing. Are all HID projectors that long? I've never measured it, but just how much room do we have to work with in our housings?

we have about 5 -6 inches or so.. Typical HID Projectors are around 6.5 inches

Well, unless you just have to have brighter headlights, I'd just go with the HID fog lights:

Then you don't have to worry about all that custom work, but should have plenty illumination when you want it. I suppose you could even mount these in our housings; they sure seem shorter in the pics (?).

I could probably make the A6 single beam ones work for sure but the ideal setup is bi-xenon ones. I know the Audi TT projectors are shorter but also a single beam the S4 ones might be a better length and are bi-xenon if i remember right. Im sure there are some out there you just have to find them. The problem is most european cars use the same vendors such as Hella for the ballasts etc. So you would have to search other brand cars for some parts.
