I've got a magnaflow setup on my hatch, I love the sound. Not too quiet, not too loud, not raspy at all. I can take a video clip of it if you want.

I've heard a Magnaflow on 4 cylinders and they sound nice. I still prefer Flowmaster, though.

Ya, I had a magnaflow resonator and magnaflow muffler on my se-i. Sounded really nice I thought. Was a bit loud sometimes, but not a loud that makes your ears ring kind of loud.

i like the low end noise of my magnaflow....after like 4k rpm it starts to get loud.... but yeah it does not sound like a honda muffler.

Would it be worth it on the stock piping until I can find a legit shop to do my catback?

    Re: Exhaust for the 3G's

As promised here is a video of my exhaust setup.

2.25 Inch piping, Magnaflow XL series muffler, no resonator.

Sounds a little raspy at high rpm's but thats mainly because I'm not running a resonator. Sounds much different when you are driving though, not near as raspy, and a bit deeper.

Don't mind my dirty undercarriage, lol haven't washed the underside in a while. Also, it sounds a little different because there is a little water in the exhaust because I just washed the car, and accidently sprayed some water into the muffler. So that explains why it's shooting out water.

And yeah, I let the car warm up for about 5 mins and come up to temp before taking this video, I wouldn't ever rev a cold car.

I like how your sounds Catalyst....good tone and not like a pissed off bumble bee. I'm wondering, if anyone on here has ran the HKS Universal muffler?? The one's that you can get in different anodized colors and carbon fiber wrap. A friend of mine has a HKS exhaust on his non-turbo eclipse and it's deep tone even at full throttle and sounds mean as hell.

    Thanks for the comments.

Yeah I don't like the raspiness, but when you are actually moving, and the car is under load, there is really no raspiness at all. Just has a nice deep tone that I really love. It's only raspy when you are revving in neutral, which I don't do very often. On my day off I'll take an in-car vid if you guys would like.

And Cah, those are Kumho ECSTA tires. Those are starting to get some camber wear on the inside, so I'll be getting Kumho ECSTA ATC's as replacements. (Same tires that are on the front of the car)
