ahhh, about time! (2 huge pics)

finished installing suspension parts today. unfortunately i managed to mess up the front struts, so i'll have to redo those. but at least they look good, right!

    before

    after

can't wait to fix it so it rides properly.

    he used Koni + H&R on Rota GT3 16" 205/45/16 ziex 512. Great choice!

was kind of tired today, was making a few mistakes here and there in the installation otherwise we would've had been alot quicker.

looking good chris. The car is now "jockable." I want your rims!

be sure to install the other goodies I gave ya!

    hmm, rounding the figures:

    600ish -- 4 koni reds
    200ish -- H&Rs
    700ish -- rims and rubber
    120ish -- strut bars

    edit: included cost of springs

going with the mantra of the site... do it right the first time, or don't do it at all. you don't want shitty ride quality.

well I didnt exactly give him things. I sold him an armrest for 20bucks and GAVE him free foglight covers that I had laying around.

Chris is cool, one of two 3geez members I sometimes chill with. I think the H&R ride is too soft for me personally but those konis. i gotta put mine on too!

he's just angry that i bought springs instead of coil overs.

i am not nearly as performance-oriented as D is... i let him decide what's best for my car (like those rims!) he could probably drive my car better than i can :P

anyways, my car is not my primary means of transport. it's for making long trips and transporting people. otherwise i use my bike to move myself around. the bay area is so well-suited for bicycling that a car's kinda silly actually.

yeah the konis will last you a lifetime. definitely worth the $600. i set mine at the softest setting cus i feel it's too aggressive when i had it at max stiffness. they easily overpower the springs, especially soft ones like your h&r's.

good job on the upgrades. that car looks much much better! keep it up!

i have the struts set to their middle adjustability .. if it could turn 3 times, i turned it 1 and a half. before i figured out i installed them incorrectly, it drove like a champ on those settings. but then again, i'd been riding on blown struts and 17 year old springs.

yes, that is very clean. the color is great, the rims color goes really good with the car giving it a clean look. darkened corners look great too. just a clean car all over! i dunno, i think i like how 10 spoke rims look on 3gees. my 13's and the at itallia ones are 10 spoke that i thing look good on it. anyway, now its time to change your signature pic to one of the new look.

And to think, chris wasn't even going to get new rims. I suggested the rims to go with the drop. Good Choice!

I wanted these rims chris, dammit! I was going to get them..but seems like the whole 3geez wants them too. Time to look for new rims for me again..

I believe it is at 1.5 turns.

Like the drop and the new wheels. Personally I would have bagged the sucker! haha But that's just my preference guess you were looking for more "sportablitiy" then "cooliability" .
