    glamour shoot (56k beware)

haha busted, you think you're the only one who is shamelessly in love with his car?!!?! behold, a rediculous afternoon photoshoot after repairing (hopefully once and for all) the suspension!

... not to say your shoots are rediculous, but our cars are clearly on opposite ends: evil jedi car versus good jedi car!!

my apologies for the 1024x768 size. i have my resolution set higher on my home computer, but i understand if you don't yet! after reformatting, i didn't bother to reinstall photoshop, so i can't resize easily

    at the colliseum

    in the garage

    on the touge

sorry again about the large size, i guess it gives you guys more fodder to critique! you can practically see the swirl marks in the buff job on the paint :P

looks really good man. the whole car is nice and complete, appearance-wise.

hey, where's the SF skyline shot? i know you've got some crazy views from up in the berkeley hills.

actually, the last few "usual spot" shots are from lawrence laboratories (the site of the cyclotron -- the device responsible for the hastened production of fissile nuclear material: u238; and, also, the discovery of plutonium), and there's an AMAZING panorama view of the entire bay from sauselito to berkeley marina to oakland docks, to san fran... i can't drive the car up there though, and there's a ledge, ahem, should i ever have tried!

i wanted to do night shots with the skyline, but my car decided that its leg was injured, metaphorically, and i had to limp back home before i could repair the suspension this afternoon.

Looks very good Chris, you and D need to get together and do a nice shoot with both the cars.
    He's such a photo whore!
What happened to the suspention? Didn't you just get everything in?

    You're the dark jedi, right?

Is that "the club" behind the drivers seat? Tell me you have a better security system than that, or I will come get your ride with my hacksaw.

    Peace.

nope, my security is the club, nothing at all left in the cabin, wheel locks and removable face plate. there are lazy--yet rampantly abundant--thieves around here. if one can't easily get my "phat loots" then he is disinclined to spend the effort required.

besides, i rarely drive the car. it sits in my spot with my neighbors -- voracious drunks, prostitutes, etc. -- looking after it. they like me, so i feel at ease. honestly!

the two times my car has been broken in to has been "my fault". first time they jacked, god knows only in berkeley, my hemp bag filled with rock climbing gear (shoes that fit really only me, harnass that fits me and 8 year old girls, etc... i'm not a large man!) by breaking the window in. after that, i stopped putting things in the car.

second time they jacked my 60$ stereo... thankfully they locked the door on the way out. so i replaced it with a really nice pioneer deck. cost me like 160 because i couldn't find the old one again. no big thing because it's grey and matches my car better than the last one anyways!

moral of the story ... make your 80s car more trouble than it's worth to steal!

looks good. I like your wheels a whole lot. There's alot of hype about big wheels, but I still think 15" and 16"s look the best on 3g's. I had 17"s on my 3g when it was alive, and I kick myself now, they looked so ghey and out of place imo.

There is a white one too. I'm definitely tempted to come to your apartment and swap rims with you! Shame we didn't do it when we installed your suspension.
