    problem after 5speed swap!

I went ahead and swapped out the auto for a 5 speed, Everything went well no problems....
started the car and she did the normal high idle thing for warm up..
After ideling for a few it kicked down the rpms to like 1300.. still alittle high, so i turned down the idle on the throttle body and only got it to go down like 300 rpms-then it happend!
it started pulsating from 900-1300 rpms..

do i need to adjust the TPS?

I also used the automatic ecu.

I then switched over to the manuel ecu and still the same problem..
    Any idea's?

a couple hundred rpms isn't that bad but i have a full 3" exhaust and it is pretty loud.

is the idle screw adjusted as far in as it will go? sometimes if the idle is too high it will bounce like that.

you might also check to see if there's a vacuum hose disconnected somewhere. also, try unplugging the eacv and see if that stops the problem.

check to see if you have a vacuum line disconnected, if not find a new IACV or clean the one you have.

mine does the same thing as well. it'll start, idle high for a bit (about 1700) then drop to around 1200, then start pulsating up to 2k. it goes away after a few minutes for me, so i've quit worrying about it.

I finally got rid of the problem..
well i didn't have a vacume leak. I did pull the iac and clean it.
I also adjusted the throttle position sensor, and I re-adjusted the throttle cable..
the cable was holding the butterfly open slightly.

    thanks for the help.
