She needs to get a new speedometer cable. I don't think you can lube ours.

i had the same problem. i just took the gauges out and where the speedo cable connects i putt a few drops of oil plus the grees on the top of it. than i too speedo cable and started to drop the oil down the cable very slowly. took me a while but it fixed the problem.
if you decided to take the cable out, i am sooo sorry for you man. it is a pain in the ass.

It's her car. She said it doesn't bother her adn i don't drive it very often, so i'm not gonna aggrivate myself with it. thanks though.
