    Eclipse decks any good???

Anyone know if eclipse cd players are any good. I was looking into getting the Eclipse CD5415. If not what are some good decks for around $175-$200.

Eclipse has a reputation for being one of the very best CD players you can buy. If you can get one for that price, I would seriously consider buying it. I just looked at the 5415 online, and if you can get it for $175-200, do it! You normally don't get 5V preamps for that price.

And get it from a reputable dealer, so you can get the warranty. So many times people just buy on ebay w/o the warranty. Then when the HU fails, they have no recourse but to buy another HU.

    Peace.

Yeah its a great shop in town and there's a, I think 3 year warrenty on the cd player itself. Then another 1 year warrenty where if it gets stolen or anything I just being in a police report and they will replace it for nothing. Sounds like a GREAT deal.

i have an eclipse 3403 and its awsome. I went from a JVC deck to the eclipse and it was night and day in regards to SQ. I've had it for over 2 years with no problems at all, it even plays scratched cds the no other deck will. I just picked up an 8454 really cheap and I can't wait to put it in to see how it sounds(if i can ever get through all the programming options).

So I went to this other shop today and was looking at what they have (pioneer, clarion, panasonic, rockford fosgate). They said that eclipse decks are made by another company fujitsu Ten. They said rockford decks were made by them but they did make them this year because the people at rockford had so many problems with there decks. I know that they are going to support there products more but I was just wondering. Here are some pictures of the deck and the car that it is going to go in. My car has a better stereo then Justin, and Justin is scared to race. Just jokin man.

    Here is the deck.

Awesome quality decks, awesome sounding decks aswell.... I think the 5425 and up do look much better than the 15, but for the price the 15 is still an awesome deck. I work at an audio shop, and this year eclipse has been our top selling decks.. and I have yet to see a single one come back for warranty

Do Eclipse decks faceplates still NOT detach? I think it is absoutly retarded they they dont detach or flip over or anything. There wicked decks, but the fact the old ones didnt detach, made me not even consider them.

true they don't detatch, but you get a free 1 year anti theft gaurantee- they replace it if it gets stolen the first year. Also as far as i know the security key can't be broken other than by eclipse or your verification CD. Their 8 series decks also have gps tracking capabilities, not sure on the 5's.
