Wanting rear discs + brake questions

Ive checked every local yard and even 2 out of town for sei/lxi/exi for rear discs to use and I couldnt find any, I saw 1 exi without any rear brakes, so I figured someone already took them.

Anyways, are there any other cars that are an almost fit? I plan on running 14's (no bigger, for my own reasons) so they would have to fit in there. Currently on stock 13's with shit rubber. Id also like to upgrade the fronts aswell, but still fitting in 14's.

I'm not trying to get any looks (infact I want the car to remain par-stock and look like a beater, but stripped. As I have no rear bumper, and the metal has been cut away for placement of a "skidpad" type thing under the car. Cant remember the name, but its all flat under the car for aerodynamic purposes) and I would like the stopping power for the mods I plan for this summer just to be on the safe side, considering these brakes were designed with <130hp in mind I'll nearly be doubling that, so I'd like the power to back it up.

I dont mind spending alot of time building up brakes aslong as it wont take mroe than a day or two to put into the car (keeping in mind I do have a parts car for test fitting and what not)

So for the closing questions, which are primarily important right now:
    1) What is the stock diameter of the front brakes on the base model?
    2) Whats the biggest rotor that can fit (with caliper obviously) under a 14" rim?
    3) Any cars that will match the specs I'm looking for under a 14" that I can make brackets and what not for? I will have access to a welding/metal shop fairly soon so brackets wont be a problem, and I am confident in my own mods to keep me safe.

    Thanks.

The stock LXi brakes are probably going to be the best you can do in the front if you're going to limit yourself to 14" wheels. I don't know of a rear setup that could be easily modifed to work on the Accord. Second and third generation Prelude would be where I would start looking--the latter came stock with 14" wheels. Doesn't running a diffuser sort of ruin the stock/beater look that you're going for?

Only the '89 Se-i had rear discs, and you can tell one quickly by looking at the wheels, which were unique to the car (radial slotted). Take a look at this parts car on eBay. It's in Ohio, but might have the rear brakes on it still. There's a phone number on the listing: 866-259-8111.

Also, I believe, but am not sure, that there were two different size front discs fitted. The Lx-i and Se-i had a bigger size, and the other models had one slightly smaller.

    Good luck.

Try swapping in 88-89 Acura legend rear brakes. Tey have a bigger rotor and calliper.

They look identical to the 89 sei setup.

Ive never ttried it myself but Im pretty sure it will work.

Downside is the legend rear hub has a different bolt spacing, but then again you might be able to swap out the Accord hub and redrill the rotor.

Only other option that might work other than the sei stuff.

The 1st gen legend has a different sized knuckle (longer) and a different orientation of the caliper bolts (wider i suppose) so i dont know how it will work. But its worth a shot. I jsut measured them up.

I guess the legend will work, I haven't seen it myself, but I was told someone has done it. The legend uses the bigger bolt spacing 411.3 F&R and they have a 2 piston front calipers. If you can get the legend wheels also you would be set.
I'm your local R&D nut. Fabracting, welding, tuning and breaking my stuff so you don't have to.
