I was wondering if it is possible to throw an 88 dx hatchy tranny into a 88 prelude with dual carbs. The only difference at first glance between the motors is the air jet controller and black box are on the other side of the engine bay.

What is the engine code in your Prelude. If it's an A18 or A20, it will fit. If it's a B something, it won't fit.
No projects. Life consumes my time and money.
no sir, the 88 is a third gen lude, if it was a 2nd gen it would fit.

too bad, if it was an 87 dual carb that would make it a dx, and the dx hach trans would be a direct swap. but if the lude was a 2.0si it would have an a20 (basically) and you would need the halfshafts and possably hubs, same if the lude was a dx and the cord was a lxi
