he is carbed so the PCV valve is on the intake manifold not on the hose that 's coming out from the valve cover !

BTW when i changed my PCV filter , the old one was all soaked in oil !

it still, if you have a filter that connects to your valve cover your fiter should be dry and not socked in oil the reason it socked in oil is because your PCV is broken and it spits oil into your filter box.

i don't really know how it works myself but i know if the PCV valve is broken than the oil will start comming out of the hose that connects to the airbox. which means that there is not enought air for ventilation.
    this is all i know.

well the suction from the intake draws oil from the valve cover... if you look at the roof of the vlave cover you'll see a few holes and there is a layered passageway to keep the oil out but allow the air to move freely.

if you just run a seperate filter on the vlave cover and block off the hole where the original one sat then you shouldn't have a problem.

hmm... so thats the only spot that has oil?

does your car try to run some times, even after you turn the car off?

hmm... how far did you advance the timing... you may be forcing oil from the head (possibly the valves) up into the intake manifold and out the carb.

It's called reversion pulse... but also its know as desieling.
I've measured my pules to around 5psi of boost pressure. Thats more then enough to blow oil up the carb.
