Nice forum! New here, impressed so far!

Woah! Okay, I'll explain a bit first. First off, I hate rice. I'm not some redneck who thinks rice= japanese, but more along the lines of 'disgustingly modified vehicles with mods that actually hurt performance and the owner claims its a race car", stuff like that.

Anyway, I drive a 92 Subie SVX lsl... it's my baby. Only complaint about it is that it's a slug-o-matic, but other than that she's been excellent to me. My wife purchased an 89 Accord LX from her brother, really kinda gay blue, 2.0 liter with the carb, and luckily a manual transmission. I haven't really done anything to it yet other than install some of those 'crystal clear' headlights from ebay... I just wanted some way to change the bulbs, without changing the whole light. Anyway, the thing has 213,000 miles on it now (got it at 207k?) and it's been really great. Taken it on long trips, all sorts of stuff. Recently it's been acting up .... so I guess that's why i found this place.

Anyway, I'm really impressed iwth these forums.... I love how clean they look and how respectful most threads I've seen are. Keep up the great work, and check out my homepage if you aren't easily offended.

Thanks everybody. I just ... I mean, this is such a surprise so far. After seeing so many 90-93 accords with ugly ass taillights, wings, and yellow wipers, I was just under the impression that most accord owners were total retards.... but man, I come here and I see clean cars without huge wings, lacking the stupid APC stickers, and a really subtle JDM style going on, I really dig it.

Also, I'm just impressed with teh car itself. I love my SVX, the eg33 is the most incredible engine I've ever played with, and I love the high speed road manners, but honestly, the SVX is a total pig around town. I've installed a performance suspension in the SVX, stainless exhaust, and a badass brake system, and yeah, that helped, but it still sucks around town... it's just geared way too tall. The accord, however, is ... it's just the more I drive it, the more I like it. Right now at 213k, the thing burns almost no oil. I change it every 3-4k miles, and I never have to add any between changes.... and it gets like 30-38mpg, and it's just a blast to drive around town. I miss driving stick so much, I'm grateful this thing is a 5spd. Come this summer I'm thinking about Integra seats, a front lip spoiler (cheap-o to get better mpg on the highway) and maybe some alloys from an integra or civic. I kinda want to keep it OEM looking, using as many honda parts as possible. No need to make it fast, it's fun to drive around town already. Only thing that really bothers me about it is the stupid location and orientation of the oil filter. Why put it in the back?!?! And why sideways?!?! Argh.

PS: The SVX has no cupholders. Neither does the Accord. I guess I'm just a no cupholder kinda guy.

LOL. Dude, you nailed it right on the head with your first page (Cardomain). I read the whole thing with a big grin on my face, and laughed out loud several times. I'm the same way; I hate bling and rice. Oh, you'll see some here too, but Cardomain.com is probably going to be the worst there is.

noOb with an NSX engine in my 3g

Yeah, its pretty sweet dudes. I converted it myself in my driveway before my mom came home from work. I also converted the accord to an aerodeck with all wheel drive from a CRV, and a then I installed a new iVtec system from a civic on top of the NSX engine. It's pretty badass. I'd post pics, but see, bigfoot broke into my house last night, and he took my disposable digital camera and I found it later but he'd only taken pictures of his ass with it, so... sorry. I also had another digital camera, but see, termites infested the USB card in my computer, so it won't hook up right. I already tried downloading it to another friends computer, but apparently this camera only works with my specific computer. Sorry guys. I know you'll say I'm full of shit but I'm not. In fact, super rice I mean Super Street did a photoshoot of my accord a while back, but it only showed up in teh special edition issues that were sent out to overseas, specifically, the nepal edition of super street. But it looked sweet I swear!!!
