Cruise control......................

Hey, new to the list, I looked up crusie control problems in the archive but had no luck with the results. Hopefully someone has had the same problem. '88 Accord LX bought used, the cruise is not working, I replaced the vacum unit in the engine bay, the cruise switch on the dash and the fuses in the fuse box, I did these one by one and tested at each change. I'm going to replace the cruise relay way up under the dash....before I do that is there any other items to check, I looked in the chiltons manual, but it was no help.

Check both the brake pedal and clutch (if it's manual) switches. If they are not adjusted correctly or not working, your cruise will stay in a constant "disengage" mode. I would check those before replacing the more expensive items you mentioned.
