    Few new pics with coilovers

Just a few pics I took yesterday evening. These are the coilovers set at the lowest setting. Much higher than Goldyaccord's Groundcontrols at the lowest but that's probably because the Ractives are meant for newer Accords (or I screwed up the install LOL). Rims are 16" if anyone cares. My crappy review is here: http://209.151.81.66/showthread.php?...9242#post39242

looks great Yasu! I just love the way our cars look slammed. With the kit and slammed it looks real tight.

that's an interesting paint finish. this is the same setup I'm hoping to do as soon as I get the funds, except I'm using Tokico in the rear. Did you install the Prelude upper control arms, or
a camber kit, or nothing? Also, were did you buy the Ractives and how much? Incidentally, car looks great.

    Yeah! Weed Whacker!

    Looks good Yasu!...

Nice and low! I love it!

You can go visit that guy now that said he's never heard of any car being lowered more than an inch or so...hahaha - friggin' stupid guy...

I had mine on the Air Care dyno today - kinda like those power dyno's for those that don't know- the SE-i frame was resting on the ground! (and that was jacked up too!)

89sei: you got it going! Did it pass??
Doug: I call the "interesting" paint finish "faded metallic silver". It's actually still very metallic but the clearcoat has faded. Mostly due to the dish soap I used for the first two years after the paint job which I now know is VERY bad. Also, the paint is Maaco paint. I think the combination of the two increased the deterioration speed. The still very glossy bumper which was painted about a year and a half ago is top quality stuff and was paid for by insurance when I had a small accident with a dog.
The Ractives were bought from a guy on the Vancouver Accords board for $185 shipped (about $115 US). Pretty much new in box. I picked up some Prelude arms for $20US (pair) but they are not in yet and was going to do the shim thing in the back. But I'm taking the car off the road soon so I didn't care about camber.

I'd call it matt metallic silver, I like it. I mean gloss is good I guess but there is so much gloss in todays auto looks that it is a nice change to see a flat (matt)<faded> look. It is a real strong paint job overall in that it is equal (photo wise) and yet it is non gloss, very unique. I guess not intended, but it has character. Thanks for the info. Off the road? What is the future of the auto?

Yeah, I'm going to strip it down and fix a bunch of stuff. Hopefully cut the rust out of the wells and under the rear tails, diffeent spoiler, and if I do that, another paint job. Also planning on swapping in a low mileage 88-89 efi motor (increased compression), port matching the JG TB to the manifold, get the injectors tested and cleaned, and a P&P at a good engine shop about 20 minutes away. I may go for a B20 motor swap (heard some rumors of a wrecker who have them around here but unconfirmed). Maybe I can buy it from them for cheap.

Now I really want to get the Kaminari kit just cause it ain't as common on the board and I wan't to see what my car looks like with drop and kit... problem is, do I get the 86-87 front of the 88-89 front? hmm decesions, decesions.

    Sweet ride as always Yasu
