    Another idle problem

    Hi,
Idle must be a general weakness in our cars, i can tell from the number of topics about this. I would like to add this one:
When the engine is still cold, idle operates normally. When warmed up and coming to a stop (release throttle and into neutral), idle drops to almost zero, stays below lowest mark for couple of seconds and then rises again. This happens everytime i have to stop. Most of the time the engine shuts down. After start it shuts down again unless i tap the throttle. It is becomeing very irritating.
Sofar i have checked these things:
    - no ecu errors
    - changed air filter
    - changed fuel filter
    - fixed one vacuum leak (n0 6 hose)
    - bleeded cooling system
    - topped engine oil to a bit under max level
    - replaced plugs, wires, coil, rotor and cap
    - replaced warm idle valve
    - replaced idle control solenoid valve
    Engine is A20A4.
    Regards,
    Guido

Even with the EACV and fast idle valve closed the idle screw should be set for the engine to have enough air to run around 650 rpm. I'd try backing out the idle screw a little bit and see how that affects things.

    Thnx Mike,

This helps for maybe one day. Idle is now around 800 rpm. Next day again idle drop at full stop. I notice that when i deccelerate slooooowly, releasing throttle way in advance, the engine stays on. But still the needle drops to 0.

    Grtz,

    Guido

i´m had same problem, you must check if the potenciometer for adjust the co2 is
working correctly. the second posibility is that the injectors are in bad conditions.you can test the potenciometer with digital multimeter.
