    2.0i-16 on the dyno today

This is with 100% stock engine, and the airfilter and sparkplugs could need replacing.

    144.7HP at 6184rpm. Rated at 137HP / 6000rpm stock.
The torque converted to your scale is 135.5 lbs/ft. Rated at 127.6lbs/ft / 5000rpm stock.

The Japanese B20A's does make more power than this, but this is the Euro B20A which has a bit lower power output due to small changes.

I got to dyno mine then.

I'm surprised how flat the torque curve is with the stock manifolds.

    These numbers, are simply superb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The torque-graph looks better than the newer I-VTEC engines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(THE 95mm STROKE)
The results is unbelivable for stock B20A2 engine!!!!!!!!power at 6750rpm!!!!!!!!
    Superb!!!!
    Congrats thegreatdone for the results.
Just a question what type of dyno was this??? Dynomet? VAMAG? somethink else??
I think B20 engines have a lot of potential but in USA the majority of 3geez members
with B20A engines, use stock A20 ECU to run the jdm B20A(because of lack of jdm ECU).
This is no good because you can't run one 160hp engine with one ECU maped for one
120hp engine....................you loose a lot of potential especially if you have and other mods like free flow exhaust, CAI, etc.
Also you loose a lot of power when run jdm B20A engine with 6500rpm rev cut when
the euro B20A2 with the wickest cams has rev-cut at 7000rpm and make power even at 6750rpm!!!!!!!!!!
So the best and first mod for the US B20A members (if they haven't got the Jdm ECU)
is a stand alone dynotuned ECU , in my opinion, to take out all the potential of B20A engine.

    That's the one yea

Thanks Lok. I dont know what type of dyno it is but I can probably find out if you'd like to know? But the main thing about a dyno i think is how it's tuned. You can compare my numbers to the numbers foobari from Finland made with his 2.0i-16 and you'll see that they're almost excactly the same. You can see foobari's dyno thread here: https://www.3geez.com/showthread.php?t=27388
I think that his K&N short ram filter is one of the reason why his grahps are just a little disturbed compared to mine.

We'll see what this engine can do

    thegreatdane,

Do you have any other mods besides the leather steering wheel? I nominated your 3g for AOM, and I would like to update the post if there is more information.

I didn't know if anyone else would nominate you, whereas, I just knew someone would re-nominate Busted Blue. Check out the AOM July nomination thread.

BTW, "deadstock" is a term used for shoes (like Air Jordans, etc.). "Deadstock" is reserved for new shoes w/o any flaws that have never been worn, essentially the highest grade for people buying and selling shoes.

    Peace.

Thank you for the nomination. The steering wheel is a stock wheel, but because it's a 2.0i-16 it's a leather steering wheel. It does have other mods, but the car is in the bodyshop getting some things done at the moment and will be going to the painter this week, so I wont have any pics of the stuff right away. But I've installed Koni reds in the front and rear with a set of 40mm lowering springs and put on 17" Kosei Sniper rims.

impressive to me. nice line of torque. that's what i wish my A20 could do, guess i'll just have to get the B20 JDM. althought its supposed to make 23hp more than yours suppose. that's great though. it must have really nice pick up. you should do a 0-60 mph or 0-100 kph. maybe if you can get ahold of a G-tech type tester that you can just plug in. you know just to give us an idea.
