    back to the future

while driving through town following a friend in his legend, playing hotrod or whatever, he said he got paranoid about the loudness of my exhaust. i have felt this way for a while, and didn't really have any way to fix it.

    UNTIL NOW

i was digging around the parts room at the shop and found a set of brand new 2001 acura CL typeS mufflers. they had 2.25 inlet/outlet already, the only problem was the rear flange does weird curvy shit.

so i took it to the muffler shop my shop refers people to, and got him to do some custom welds and stuff to make it fit. now i have an OEM muffler with 2.25 piping, and it's super quiet. yay!

the muffler looks good, but IMO I am not feeling the tip. Still a good idea though. I used a factory v6 eclipse muffler and it turned out to be quit, but still gave me some noise and performance.

I like the tip. It complements the shape of the lip. Does that tip come with the OEM muffler?

It's not perfectly aligned, but looks way better than what I've got.
Perfection is simply a matter of replacing parts.

It's different here in California. Noise/modified exhaust is just one more reason to be harassed by the cops.

    O_o..

Nice. Is it still throaty on acceleration?

V is right, the cops are always on cases of imports. My exhaust isn't too loud compare to many other imports so it isn't looked at quite often =)
