    paint opinion again

ok after finding a pic on here and running it through my photo software, i want y'all opinion on whether the hood being painted like this would look good with my scoop? i'm not sure about the big h, i could put it on the scoop. i'm going for the old school look anyway. for a note i will be painting my front bumper black like it used to be, and i'm painting the sides panda.

Personally I think hoods been painted with stripes, multi-colours, etc is really ricey and gay.

I absolutely hate it on cars.

hmmm, i was going to keep the entire car black and white, i just thought i would accent the raised part of the hood with the black, the scoop will be the same black, so it will blend in. I do think the H would be too slow and the curious though. my scoop isn't one of those stick on with mylar tape deals, it really does function, so i thought the black might make it look nice. I am trying to avoid rice though, my car is allergic to it. I try to make evrything functional, i set up my interior like an airplane cockpit, everything important in plain sight and able to be eaisily reached from the drivers seat.

Sand that thing down & primer it first.
I think that middle piece you got painted back will look cool. The rest if the car white, with the bottom black below the moldings. That is if your trying to go with the black & white scheme your trying to do.

H just looks goofy, like an obnoxious ad. I think the B&W would look good if it's well thought out. Maybe even white w/ just black pinstriping along the sides and all black top. Whatever you choose, be happy about it.

Just keep it one colour, don't do fancy feature bonnet, feature doors, etc.

The Big painted H just makes it look like some horny kid with his first car wants to make it look COOL!

Inconspicuous is the best, nobody suspects it.

oh i decided to not do the h already, i was just talking about accenting the raised area. as far as the lower doors i've seen black and white hatches and it looks factory, doesn't work on the non hatches, the lines just aren't right. that used to be a common paint scheme on japanese imports. i called up an old timer at the dealer closest to here, and he seems to think the panda look was a little used factory option. that was his opinion anyway.

if you mean the car, of course, i'm going to spray the entire car in high build first, i have to finish the body work, there's a lot of work into the body already.

i think since the bumpers on the 3G are thick and black, then one half of the "panda" needs to be black so they dont stand out as much. i was thinking about doing a 2 tone, but the stripe was messing me up... therefore i shaved the moldings.....
well now i'm going all one color.

you mean like this i'm going to keep the moldings because they give me a dividing line. plus they look as 80's as a rubicks cube. my front bumper is sickly grey right now, i haven't painted it like the back one yet.

I like the painted hood scoop. Just DON"T paint that Honda emblem. But I do like the rest of the color scheme.
