trip to the cabin

well last weekend the long weekend me and my dad whent out to are cabin witch is a 12 hour drive from winnipeg anyhow we took are new 6mp digital camera fuji s20 pro to play with.

the light had been on for 10 15 minuts prior to this pic being taken was a fair distance from thompson still but we made it on 1 tank.

rat river water control dam used to hold back water for a hydro eltric dam in the area ownerd bye manitoba hydro


parked at the top of the hill at the cabin


reacent rain brought the lake back up ending a 12 year drought


lol it whent for a swim lol gota laugh at the gras growing on it though time for a new one don't ya agree


well shes fixed dam water pump ius ready to die though


trusty old out house put a solor power light on her so ya can see it at night


while we were up there my dad had to go do some work over at fox mine been closed since lat 80's there's a treat ment plant to clean the water run off from the tailings anyhow while we were out there we had a bbq and i took some shots of the car and other things

could not resist take the few shots of the car lol


the treated water what they do is mix lime in with the water to take hold of the minrals in the water

after we stopd for some food and gas i took over the wheel and drove to pisue falls and stop for a quik brake and switch back with my dad anyways heres a shot of the waterfall

lol its the alien of highway six also ironicaly the last photo i took on the trip
ran outa room on the memory card


well anyways i can't wait to go back up there rarely do we use are cabin has road aces lol from the highway in the winter you have to walk or take the skydoo lol also in the winter time there is a spot on the lake that does not freez thick enuff to walk on due to the underground springs that run into it makes for good drinking water
