    Talking got my teg tranny

just got my transmission back from san francisco. darryl from openloop rebuilt it for me using parts from my 2 accord trannys and an '89 integra. i had him use the accord fifth gear so i guess i'll see how that feels first and then decide if i want to try the teg or maybe a prelude fifth.

can't wait to put it in. the aasco flywheel should be here tomorrow and i've got some random stuff i want to do to the engine but i should be rolling again by next week. yay!

So which parts went into the final project? My 5th gear is on its way out and I'm thinking about building a new one using some teg components.

the integra casing was used. so, 1st through 4th is the integra. although you could use the integra fifth if you don't like having to downshift to accelerate on the highway.

use the accord 5th. With it your crusing speed at 70mph will be at 3000.

does a teg tranny need any specific mounts or mods to fit in stock 3g efi engine ..(A20A5) i believe ..? .. im installin a new tranny in a few days and from the research
i've found .. its either 3g lude tranny or 2g teg tranny .. are these the only generation trannies that will fit .?.. and do they require anything 'extra' to be used, or is it just like bolting on a stock tranny ..?,,

i apologize in advance for the newbie questions..?
