Angry Distributor or what? someone help fast

Listen I am a new to this site and I searched for this problem before I asked and I did not see it.

ok I have a lxi accord and this is my problem. My car will start in the morning or anytime when it has been sitting for a while, but after it gets hot and I turn it off it won't start back up. It just turns over and over, but after it sits there it will start up. A mechanic told me it was my distributor so I got a efi distributor from the junk yard which is the same kind my car originally had. I put it in it still does the same thing. I got another efi distributor it still did the same thing.

Is there anything else that it be that can make my car do this

    Hi,

I had something like this too on my old honda. It was then fixed when i cleaned the spark plugs and later replaced them. Maybe also check the resistance of your wires with a multimeter. You can read this in the shop manual.
    Good luck!

    Main fuel Relay

Nortorious for intermitant starting problems. The soder connections fail and cause your symtoms. $50 from Honda. Way up in the kick panel drivers side. 2 10mm bolts hold it in place

    Question

So you don't think its just that have been getting bad distributors out of junk yard cars. I think I'm going to have to buy a brand new one just so I will know that it is not the distributor and also replace the main relay

A brand new distributor is going to cost some big buck, I paid $229 @ Autozone and that was rebuilt. I think that I would pull the Main fuel relay and take a look at it before spending that kind of cash.

    But, its your dough.

take the main relay out, open it up and resolder the connections.

as for distributor, i don' t think it is your distributor. leave it alone for now.

    Do you fix it?

I had the similar problem and it was a burned out contact in solenoid (cylindrical thing next to starter). It did not start warm, and a couple of months later it did not start at all.
Do you hear a sound of starter? If not - you have my problem.
If you hear starter, try this:
1/. Check high voltage wires to distributor first and wires from distributor to sparks second. Just disconnct them one by one, almost touch the engine and ask somebody start an engine. If you see a spark, the wire is OK.
    2. If wires are OK, and distributor cap is OK, I guess it is a main relay.
