If the sub is 300w rms, and its dual coil, each coil would be capable of taking 150w

FyreDaug is correct, unless it specifically says "300 watts RMS per coil" or something similar somewhere on it.

PS: from reading your sig, I see you want to purchase a "cap" for your stereo... I would highly recommend wasting the money on it. Upgrade your underhood wiring first, and see if that doesn't solve it. I did all the wiring up to 4-gauge in my '89 SE-i Coupe, so if you need step-by-step instructions, I'll hit you with them.

And caps are overrated and overpriced for what they do, might aswell throw another battery in its place to work as a buffer if thats what you are looking for. For the same price, you might aswell get something better. But its heavier and bulkier and doesnt look as cool, but I would never buy a cap for my system.

I assume there was supposed to be a not written in there somewhere... :p
