    89 coupe clears...56k no way..

yeah the ones mase made aint fit so i custom made mine using his techniqe so here it is..(ya might wanna sticky this)
    [IMG][/IMG]
first is you take off the tailights (this is coupe style older model dont have the extra bottom) break off the lens using a pair of plyers, make sure ya dont cut ya selfs (i did) take off all colored plastic, but be careful not to break inner clear plastic..
    [IMG][/IMG]
    it should look like this..
    [IMG][/IMG]
mask off surrounding area and paint inner plastic with refective paint..
    [IMG][/IMG]
then carefully slide back in clear plastic.. after that you should get some thin plexiglass and heat up where da bends go, and forn to the light ok..add some silicone and seal that light up tight.(oh yeah get the right colored bulbs for legal reasons..
    [IMG][/IMG]
and this is the final result hope ya like.. it aint so hard..

hmm...did you heat up the thin plexy glass up with a heat gun? how thin is it,1/8th inch? What did you use to cut the plexy? Just some extra helpful hints.

well i used the plexi from the ones i had, but it seems easy just to but a this piece and heat it up enough just to form around the corners.. and to cut a simple dremel should do the trick..

the ones i have before these military mase made them, i bought them off of him but they aint match up. he got a 87 accord 4 door, i got a 89 2 door so he made the plexi bends and i just used them on my 89. i still have th 87 clears without plexi, im gonna make a set of bends and add them to the 87 clears and see who wants them.

how do you plan to do the trunk lid lenses? i think it would be easy for you to take what you've done for the outer corners and make them half red/clear.

Very nice, basically what i'm doing with my lights. Althought I might tint the lenses a smidge, and also what are you doing about globes? LEDS or Incandescent?

I tried LED replacements but didn't like 'em.

Also that chick in your avatar, any more pics
