Cleaned the car, thought I'd take pictures

Last Thursday, I cleaned the car and waxed it. It turned out good so I just went to an abandoned road and took picutres. It was near sunset outside and the camera didn't seem to like the fact that I didn't have a stand. Oh well, it gives you a general idea of what the Carotmobile looks now. I got a new front bumper

I got new CAI fittings. I prefer them blue over the red that I had before.

You can clearly see the big intake manifold on that picture.

I like the effect the camera filter gave to the laurel blue paint. Gota love that color!

    Enjoy!

Hey Carotman, the car looks great...only thing is though, looks like you got a little carried away when you scrubbed the license plate! You scrubbed the damned numbers right off it! LOL

Why do people do that BTW?

it's already lowered in fact (1.5 inch neuspeed springs) I wanted to get a 2 inch drop but I wonder if it will be worth the hassle.

My rear emblem was inspired by the JDM Accord coupe emblem

I thought the back looked like it had been lowered, but I wasent sure if that was from the 17's being on there or not. IMO I think the car would look great with less front wheel gap, but I am not sure that a 2" would do the job. Dont get me wrong the car still looks great so no complaints here.

P.S. keep in mind that I am a fan of no wheel gap.

    Carotman,

What car care products do you use?

Looking at your car has inspired me to clean my car (right after Hawaii wins the LLWS on Sunday ).

    TIA.

    Peace.

I use Mother's Carnauba cleaning wax for everyday use. It's a carnauba wax that has a built-in cleaner. It works fast and will give you a nice finish.

I have the Meguiar's 3 step product that works really well too. You can do it like 2 times a year to make sure the paint is removed from the contaminants.

You can also use the plastic polish and to the taillights ans turn signals. This will give them a totally new shine!

I also bought a claybar that I will probably use soon. Just have to find some spare time to work on the car.

If you want some tips, go to this page, it gives you nice tricks to make your car look good!

    Thanks Carotman.

Which plastic polish do you use? I have some 303 Aerospace I can use. I use the 303 mainly for the interior. So I already have a use for the 303, and I wouldn't mind buying a dedicated plastic polish for the taillights/black trim. Did you use Forever Black on the bumper/trim? Bumper looks very black.

I think I am going to wash the car and use a quick detailer.

    Peace.

I used the forever black on the rear bumper and front lip only. The side moldings and front bumper are basicaly new. I'm surprised on how that forever black thing wholds up well.

The plastic polish I use is the Meguiar's Plastic Polish. I guess that the Mother's or 3M brand would work just as fine.
