This is fun... Wiring is a nightmare because the color codes are not totally consistant. Close but not quite exact. The Carburetor that I picked up for this accidently was a 3 bbl kein. $5.00 mistake... Can I make it work??? I thought about getting the drill out and making it work but I am not too familiar with what the 3rd bbl is for and if I can just get away with treating it like it does not exsist. I pretty sure I am dreaming there but I will ask if anyone has tried it and been successfull. Or if anyone is interested in trading for a 2 bbl kein.
Does anyone know where to download a 85 lude wiring diagram?
I Picked up a shoe horned accord for a song and an 85 Prelude for even less (Trade for a SBC 400 4bbl Intake) . I am taking the engine out of the accord and putting it into the lude but I just "HAD" to modify the transmission first. My new half breed transmission is geared like this
Gear-----Input---Output--Final Ratio
1rst-----11------35------3.182
2nd------18------35------1.944
3rd------24------29------1.208
4th------30------28------0.933
5th------36------25------0.694
final-----14------57------4.071
And the calculations for speed-rpm ratio are based on 185-70-13 tires

With the small tires and the 4.071 final drive ratio it should be kinda zippy. Now I just want about 200 Horses but due to major budget constraints just to get it to run is the priority for now... Also to looks like I may not be able to get the hood back on without putting a hole in it. But I havent tried that yet.
