Problems with Fuel Pump

Now I already replaced the fuel filter...
pulled the pressure hose off and im not getting fuel when I turn the car over.
pump not working.
pull the wire harness off the pump itself behind the rear seat and under the panel...
and its not getting power?
I checked the fuse and its getting power.
Does that mean I have a fuel pump power line short?

and in the last 10 minutes... I found the remnents to an old wireing harness that was just clipped off when the previous owner assumed it was the alarm system.
I just found 2 hot wires in that.

my dad took a look at the car...
he thinks it might just be the fuel relay.
its between the fuse box inside the car... and the fender.
up inside the dash a bit... but still in sight.
hes ripping it apart now.

yes, that's what SiR was talking about.... same thing. You just have to resolder the connections because they fail and cause a starting problem.

we cant access the 10m bolt that is holding the box in place.
how the F do we get that out?
or are we supposed to?

well right now i have a haynes honda book...
looking at the main relay check page...
it says to check for continuity.
what do I need to check for that?

We have a test light that we were checking fuses and relay's and such...
but we dont have a voltage meter...

is that what we need to test this?

and how much would it cost to replace?

Well, you do need a voltage meter to check for continuity. Do you have a soldering iron?

or can you test it while its inside the car?

Well, seeing as you don't have the voltage meter, i don't think you can test it. However, you need to get it out and resolder the connections. They didn't make them very well, and they have an issue with having connections that fail. So just resolder them.

GL with getting it out, i've never taken one out before lol.

i found something that had 16 prongs... right where it was supposed to be.
not 8.

that one in the pic is black.
the one that I think I found is grey.

NM I was looking at the wrong thing.
I found it.
why the F does it have to be 6 inches ABOVE everything.

I cant even reach anything up there to test it.

and napa says this doesnt exist as a fuel injection relay.

well it took me 30 seconds to get it out.
ninja hands ftw.

turns out that the relay is bad... we tested it with my dads friends test light and some leet wiring.
no place that has it is open today.
time for a new relay!
no car for me today

this makes me a sad panda.

hey, np... it's called the main relay really, but on partsamerica.com they decided to make it wierd and call it a fuel injector relay for some reason.
