"Rough engine idle"

But only when I engage the A/C switch. The fan can be put in the high position, pushing the brake padal with no effect on the idle (750rpm), but as soon as I engage the A/C switch the idle become rough as a bad motel vibrating bed. The rpms' maintain at 750 with the A/C engage.

As soon as I give it some juice to about 800 rpms' the rough idle disappears. its only when I'm completly stopped at a light or in the drive way.

Completely tuned up, ajusted the idle after new alternator installed.

Any suggestions.

did you adjusted the AC idle booster?
when you turn the AC on, your idle should jump up. you can adjust that if it doesn't jump.

That's the funny thing about this, the idle maintains 750 rpm with or without the A/C switch engaged.

I've checked the honda service manual and the only direction it gives me is to check the A/C signal, but I would think that would only be if the A/C wasn't working.

Oh well, just more troble shooting.

Maybe a possible motor mount going bad? Mine doesn't shake or anything like that and the idle stays the same at all times, w/ or w/o A/C on.
