The tranny is pretty easy to open up but you need a very large allen head which i had to make one since they didnt carry it in the stores. However i have not taken any gear stacks apart yet and that is where the headache begins since there are a lot of pieces in a given stack.

I'm pretty sure the syncros can be swapped from other hondas. The parts catalog didn't give any part number match but it might be because they are from B series engines that are found on Acura cars....

Syncros can be interchanged between later B and D series so there is hope for us.

since im pretty sure its just the syncros im going to go buy some syncromesh and fill the whole tranny with it and see if that helps me for now. Until i can tear it apart and fix it.

lol, i talked to one of the guys that works over at autozone and he said he was confident that the civic si was ls-vtec or cr-vtec on top of nitrous because last time he talked to guy in the si he had both of those engines just sitting in his grage waiting to go in. But he said its a fact that guy uses nitrous all the time. Either way whatever the hell he had he still lost lol. Whatever he has its far from a "stock si". Plus we have asked him so many times to pop his hood and he still wont lol.

O and if you listen closely you can here some guy yell in the back ground after the first race "there goes my 100 bucks!!!" Yes, they were even confident enough in him beating me that they were making bets that i would lose. lol, i bet they feel stupid. Especially since this isnt the first time ive raced him. I beat him last time too but he said he "wasnt trying" and wanted a rematch lol.

Turbo is not good on the wallet but its addicting. I took mine out the other day just to rip down the street. I should try to make a video before i pull it all apart again.

what they do is remove the stock syncros and weld on their own rings. basically giving you dog engagement.

I am going to do their face plate version on my 3kGT VR4 since the syncros in the getrag 6speed are pretty much junk.

nice...but dun mind me asking...i think you can do better if you were to 'play' with your throttle instead of lead footing it all the way to 3rd gear....the car is almost standstill on 2nd....FF need to pull the car instead of pushing it like the FR's....just my opinion....cool launching videos though...eheheheh
