Before going on a roadtrip last night I discovered that one of my headlights was burnt out, so I went and bought some sylvania 6054XV headlights. They say that the lights give 3x the foreground illumination and 2x the life and they were only $5 more than stock lights, so I bought both sides.
I've noticed a huge difference in how much I can see. Upgrading to these lights is like having a whole new lighting system: they aren't as bright as HIDs, but they are super white and bright. So much for stock headlights.... I'll never buy those again.
If anyone is looking to get an appreciable headlight upgrade cheap, I'd recommend these bulbs or something similar.
Anyways, the roadtrip was a huge success, with the new transmission that went in friday and the new headlights lighting up the road very nicely at 4am.
