    88 accord dx swap

Hey guys, new to the forum. Just got an 88 dx hatch because my 91 integra died. My idea for the teg was to try one of these crazy k24 block/k20 head swaps. So i was thinknig maybe do something like that with my new accord. osakajdm motors.com has an f20b euro accord r engine for only 2300, maybe that wouldnt be bad either. Could one use a b20 block and put a k20 head on that? Here are some more general questions i had about this/these swaps:

-with the k24/k20 swap, does it matter if you use a base model/type s/type r head?
-what kind of transmission might work well with this swap?
-is the f20b worth it? it says 200hp
-will these motors even fit in my car? I have an A20, so i'm assuming that a b20, k20, and f20 would fit, considering theyre all 2.0 and stuff

Any help would be greatly appreciated, i look forward to building up my accord with your help

well that assumption is only in dreams. good luck, you have lots of research to go. and if you want something as crazy as a k24/k20 swap, make sure you have the wallet for it. no other motor has been done besides the straight b20a, and other b16's, 18's, etc, when companies used to make mounts for our cars. so when youre talkin k-series, it's gonna be ALOT of custom work and alot of money.

so basically youre gonna be using the CA donar chasis and puttin in a whole new drive train for it when resources are limited which means youre nuts.

at MOST this swap might strike a good friendly-hearted conversation, but i'm guessing it wont go any further than that.

oh yah, just because your motor is a 2 liter doesn't mean you can plug in another 2 liter and go speed-racin' like a clown.

The letter is what makes the difference... A B F H
    the liters 20, 24, 22, 18, 16 is just the displacement.

    A16
    A18
    A20

Those motors will fit the accord

    Also the B20A (JDM)

You wanna spend 6-8K on your motor alone? Not to mention custom mounts, shift cables, hydro clutch, and OBD 2. Dreams are fun, aren't they?
No projects. Life consumes my time and money.
