    New Stuff (56k... nap time)

Well tonight while i was fixing my horrid sunroof leak, i decided id snap a few pics of the process and, well, half way into it the UPS man came...

    To start

    looks normal?

THINK AGAIN! constant trickle of water on passenger side, drips on the drivers side.

    So out comes the sunroof

I didnt get a pic of it, but it ended up being a screw that connects the hinge into that little black plastic piece on the glass. Wasnt tight AT ALL, so the sunroof didnt have enough pressure to seal, put some thread lock on all the screws, then tightened everything up. No more leak.

Ok ok ok, so, heres everything the UPS man brought me

    My header and headlights

After i got the headlights in:

i got too cold/tired/lazy to adjust them, but ill do that tomorrow... drove around with them ghetto adjusted for now, im satisfied with the output... well worth the $30!

Here are a couple more pics of the housings.

    light off

    light on

im debating, keep the blue city light, put in a red one, or put in a white one? I havent connected it yet, but im going to.

Ill be updating this thread with more and more pics as everything ive ordered gets here

no, im going to do it the day before i go to school to have my welding shop teacher weld it all in. Im def. gonna run around town with an open header a little before i do that though. Im also gonna make a vid/sound clip of it with the open header, then after i get the exhaust on

today i ordered all my exhaust pipe
    1 180* mandrel bend
    1 90* mandrel bend
    2 4ft sticks of pipe

if i need more straight pipe i can always run to the local exhaust shop. Also, matt, did your pacesetter come with the header, downpipe, and another little "flex pipe" type thing? im thinking of cutting the extra piping off after the downpipe and just running a solid peice there with no cat/test pipe at all, would it work?

dont do that. Its part of the flex pipe. Most people all ready have problems with it breaking on them because its not an actual flex pipe. It has to have something to flex when you rev the motor.

I hope the UPS guy brought some paint too. At least the roof was an easy fix. I've run open header for a day and let me tell it was loud as fuck with 1595 cc of fury. I can only imagine was a 2.0L would be like. Probably louder and deeper.

If i get a 3.0 or better this semester my dads going to pay to get my car repainted... err, help me repaint it.

Basically, he is going to pay for all materials (sand paper, paint stripper, paint, etc.) then we are going to prep it ourselves, then send it to my uncle to paint it. Giving me motivation to go to class and pay attention

It would be nice if the UPS Man would bring me a pro painter that would do it for free though

In other news... JDM Antenna switch came today, ill have pics of it in tomorrow (Gotta study for PSAT/ACT tonight, ugh)

You got a lot or work ahead of you, if you plan on painting it yourself. Nice header, is that a pacesetter?

    hehe pacesetter... gotta love it.

i cleaned ambers up, beadblasted it. washed any grease and fingerprints off it, and painted it with 1500 ceramic paint ,and it burned off in 20 seconds. dunno where i went wrong, but those headers got real ugly real fast!

Re: New Stuff (56k... nap time)

well superaccord and i just spent almost 8 straight hours under my car, the front went smooth for the most part, minor hang ups here/there, but its all in and dropped now, looks sick, ill have pics up of that shortly. But the rear... ugh

the rear lower strut bushing that sits in the knuckle is RUSTED, the bolt RUSTED to the bushing, then the bushing RUSTED to the knuckle... tried cutting it off, pounding it, bending it, everything, NOTHING got done. So im going to trailer it home, send it to the local mechanic and say "heres all the parts, including bushings, etc. etc. fix it" Im so sick of fucking with it right now. It currently sits 30 miles from me undriveable because one of the struts only has a partial RUSTED bolt in it to hold it on the lower control arm.

So, heres the turning point. A.) Trailer it home, send it to the local mechanic, see what he can do and if he cant fix it then well... plan B.) Trailer it home, park it on the side of my house, find an SE-i, replace the control arms with NON RUSTED POS'S and have the nice new addition of rear discs...

Help guys, im sick of this shit. Everything i do to my car blows up in my face, tranny should of gone smooth, NOT, front suspension should of been really smooth, NOT, and now the rear suspension... whats next? fucking a i quit.

well thats what happens with almost 20 yearold cars man-belive me ive run into a number of problems myself, and having salt on the roads for winter doesnt help your car, unless your lucky enough 2 find one of those uiltra low mileage accords like the SE-i I found here with 45k original miles O.o

Re: New Stuff (56k... nap time)

Heres the front end on the new springs:

Compare the wheel gap to the stock ride height of the rear:

    Full car pics:

And heres as far as we got on the rear due to those fucking rusted bolts/bushings.

    Like my rust spot?

    The rear struts/springs all lonely

Well thats all for now, we were going to paint a valve cover for my car, repaint matts tails, put in my JDM switch, do some cosmetic work, clean out my intake manifold, and put in my new vacuum lines... but we didnt get any of that done because of my damn rust problems.
