    Breather Filter

Ok so I've been searching and reading through some past threads about breather filters. Heres what i want to do, take off the hose that connects to the top of the valve cover and runs to the air induction. then just replace it with a breather filter. Im not worried about improving performance, because I doubt it will do anything. But my question is will it mess up the PCV system, or screw with the blow by gases in any way?

If you have a visual engine bay part of emissions it'll make you fail inspection. Just put it on the intake when your inspection date rolls around, that's what I used to do.
