question about tire size

i got 17"x 7" rims today but need tires..... my car is lowereeeeed... i mean slammed... ive got eibach ground control coils... well the question is what profile of tire would i need.. i dont want alotta rubber and i dont wanna be rubbin in my tire well... any help?

Im going to be purchasing a set of 16's shortly...

would 205/65/r16's be suitable for a 2.7" drop? (for drop height pics look at my thread in accord pics)

65 series aspect ratio is too tall and i think you'd rub w/ that drop.

uhh.... the tires i have now are 195/65/R14

and i have no rubbing at all

ill go with a
205/60/r16 tire, its closest to the stock size i have now.

That size may be fine, but your current tires are not stock sized.

Stock sizes are:
195-60-14
185-70-13

if they arent stock sized then why are they the size that were on the car when it came from the dealer when my parents bought it new in 87?

The sticker on the driver side door jamb should list the stock size. The Motor Trend article about the new 1988 Honda Accord Coupe in the June 1988 issue lists the stock tires as 195/60HR14 Michelin MXV. Sounds like the dealler swapped out the stock tires if the originals really were 195-65-14.
