Bad shaking when breaking or high speed!

ok when i hit about 75-95 mph the car will shake bad after 95mph the car will not shake so bad

also when i break my car feals like its falling apart on me LMOL i checked the ball joins then i was doing the tranny swap and the seemed fine. my 94 honda is doing the same thing now too and i have replaced the ball joins, calibers, roters, and pads on that and its still doing it!

could this be bad stabilizers? if so how would i go about fixing it?

if you get shaking while braking that means you have warped rotors. If you replace the rotor (s) the shaking should go away. If it's also shaking at high speed when you arent braking, that usually means you have wheels that are out of balance. My car used to shake like crazy , it got worse and worse then i finally jacked up the car and the left front tire was out of round, i think a steel belt inside of it broke or something.

I also read somewhere that a sticking calilper can cause a rotor to warp by over heating the rotor. you should look into the cheapest things first (wheel balance then rotors then caliper)

ps, if you are really cheap like i am you would just swap the rear and front wheels to see if it goes away , this method is free and it will tell you if you need a balance or new tires.

rotors are new and calbers and also the pads

tiers are off balance by a little and i did swap them and its still doing it i talked to a friend and he to thinks its me stabilizer mounts or what ever they are

think all i need is the stabilizer bar linkage kit, right?

    Try this

    Standard front end check,

1: jack up one side of the car untill the tire is off the ground. The other tire must be on the ground still. I use the jacking point under the doors.

2: grab the tire,in the air, at 3 and 9 o clock postion and shake/rock back and forth slow at first. might need someone to help look underneath. This checks tie-rods,steering rack etc. start kinda slow and work your way up a little harder. Your looking for loosness. Use common sense of course the steering wheel will move or the other tire may move if you shake the shit outta it.

3: Grab the tire 12 and 6 o clock. Rock back and fourth. This checks the wheel bearing and ball joints other links

4: this check might show lower ball joints/upper link a little better. Use a pry bar under the tire at the 6 o clock pos. pry up look for slop looseness while prying.

This is your basic "front end check" any good mechanic should know. It works for all makes and models of cars

    good luck

Could be many things, warped rotors, worn ball joints, uneven tire wear from mis-alighment, steel belt broke loose in tire. Uneven torqued lug nuts or loose ones. Check ball joints as described in previous post.

My upper control arm nuts were loose on the body again and it felt like the strut was bad at speed on the highway it sounded like a machine gun going down the road. tat-tat-tat-tat-tat.
