    Fuel Injectors

I have an 89 Lxi with a 5sp lude tranny. I have just rebuilt the engine and pumped the compression up a little. My question is, will it hurt anything performance wise if I upgrade to 450cc DSM injectors? I know they will work I just need to know if my engine will bogg real bad or what negative effects it may have on my engine.

i wouldnt even bother unless you have an AFC or something better to control fuel. even with a fuel pressure regulartor, u are almost doublling the fuel flow, unless you have a way to adjust it, your motor will run pig rich and probably not have any power gains.

i would stick to stock injectors for a while, until you know they are the weakest link, but depening on your compression, you probably dont need a fuel injector upgrade

I did some more research and I do not need to upgrade my injectors. If they can handle being in a 94 NSX or a 95 Legend they can surely handle my accord. I'm scrapping this idea.

Yeah but those are V-6 engines im guessing and the CC of pistons would be smaller than our I-4. I would take the type R injectors,1.8L 200 hp, and compare them to ours 2.0L 110 hp, it be a better comparasion.

I always read that stock hondas can't control anymore than 310cc injectors. I dont have any idea if thats true.

Ive used toyota 4AGZE 360cc peak and hold injectors on a 1987 D16A2 integra with a garett M25 turbo, max boost was 7 psi, ran real sweet. I only needed to replace the fuel pump with a bigger unit and had 2 FPRs to adjust pressure. The fuel cut was beat by an electronic clamp.

btw the engine was stock except for copper composite head gasket 4mm thick sealed with rolls royce high temp hylomar sealant.
