did anyone read the part about 0-60 in 10.3 seconds?

10.3 sec for 0-60mph acceleration is very respectable for one 2.0L family car weighting 1160kg (2560lbs) and powered with a single carbed engine (only 98hp).
Is very fast for late 80s family cars and is still very fast compared to the new Generation of family cars.
ACCORD 3G RUNS FOR EVER
good for it's time? undoubtedly.
good enough for me? sure
good compared to anything in the new generation? sorry, but a minivan can leave us in the dust
ya most cars are pulling sub 10 sec but i will check my latest issue of auromobile magazine

Heater
(Average)
?
everyone who rides in my accord is like OMFG! this heater rox!
bang on about the oil filter though.
Perfection is simply a matter of replacing parts.
maybe old cars have better heaters.
i like the two levers under my steering column that cut off airflow to the right or left sides in my hatch. i don't know if the 86 had those, though.
also no mention of the extremely comfortable seats. anyone who rides in my car loves the seats. even the backseat
Yes you are right. I forget that the majority of 3Geez member live in America.Originally Posted by speedpenguin
But here in Europe Accord 2.0L Carbed has 106bhp (109hp) and weights only 1070kg, so they are still very fast when compared with the new family cars (especially in acceleration).
EFI models are even faster......

I don't normally use thread subscriptions, but for some reason I had this thread marked for notification whenever someone posted in it. Since there were issues with the URL's in the notifications, I just added a post to see for myself if I had fixed it.Originally Posted by 3rdgenhatchDX
