vigor and accord???

whats the differenece between the vigor and accord? they are exactly the same exept the trunk and rear bumper, whats the point of that? see

Yeah it's the same. The Vigor has more chrome trims around the bumper and windows.

wow, i've never even seen a vigor before :/

it does pretty much look the same from what i gather from the photo.....

is the Vigor made by Honda or Acura? ( i know they are the same company, but Acura is supposedly their "better" lineup or something to that effect)

any engine differences? and if they are practically the same, wouldn't that mean that we can swap the motor from the Vigor?

ye, everything about the vigor is exactly the same, iv only seen 1 vigor engine and it was a A20A and its made by honda but i have seen a couple of acura vigors, its not my car either, its for sale. anyways heres a couple other pics

How odd. That Vigor has the Accord USDM style lights that pop-up, while your accord has the JDM/EDM style lights.. But here in america a vigor has the JDM/EDM style accord lights instead of the pop-ups. Maybe the Vigor is supposed to be like the JDM accord, and vice versa in the EDM... ?

That's really wierd because the Vigor's in the US are completely different, look much closer to a US Legend than an Accord and have an inline 5 cylinder with the tranny behind them and a differential under the engine.

This explains how I questioned how someone could put a vigor engine in a 3G w/o any heavy modification & they said they saw it done....I didn't think to check where they're at...

we have vigors with the EDM lights, just dont see much of them around.

in my honda history book,the vigor is listed as the accord/vigor series. it's the same car. there was supposed to be a bigger engine made though that fits in our cars have been looking for one for years,but havn't found it yet.

i saw a couple at a shop i worked at. they had the 5 cylinder engine; can't remember the code, though. i liked the style of it, and it felt like driving the accord.

You're thinking of the 90-93 Acura Vigor which had a 5 cylinder engine.
The 3rd gen Accord and Vigor is excactly the same cars except for a couple of details (chrome trim and different trunklid/tails basically). I'm almost sure that all Vigors had flip-up headlights. The JDM Accords with fixed headlights was named "CA".
I dont remember seeing an '85-'86 Vigor with these EDM looking taillights before though. But maybe that's just because I've previously only seen '87-'88 Vigors.

That german site basically says "this is the vigor, its based off the gen 3 accord, and was offered in three different 'variations' or styles" My friend has a 5-cyl one, its definatly a rarity in my book, i've only seen like 5 in my whole life. I'd get one, just for the novelty of it i guess.
