Civic Intake??

Ok ive heard the civic air intake mod a few times on the board but i was wondering if i could get a little more detailed explanation please..

if you get the intake from nopi.com (cheapest place to get it.) and when you recieve it you will notice that when you place it in your engine bay you will notice that the intake is too long with the filter on it unless you relocate the battery, but if you relocate the battery you mind as well just make a custom cold air intake...but you will have to cut roughly 4 inches off the filter end of the intake so that the filter will fit without the battery being in the way.

My intake was made for a civic. I cut the tube to made it fit, and that is why my intake tube is short. Works like a charm!

why did you spend $140 on an AEM intake then cut it into nothing you could get a APC one for like $60,

i fit a dc sports DAC intake in my 88 accord lx with no prob, works really good and looks damn good sitting under my hood. apc is trash man.......its not worth 10 bucks, they are made really cheaply and the filters suck.

I would agree for shits and gigles I put my friends APC filter on my car not nearly as good as the K&N one

yeah i have a k & N on my dac intake, K & N makes filters for alotta big name companys(DC sports and apex are 2 of the biggest)i like the typhoon filters they work damn good they run around 40-60 depending on size.
