Thanks, I allways wanted to know if Proton Satria GTi rims would fit my car because I love the look of them. I am ringing my local Proton dealer on Monday to see if he can get me a set.

a guy i know had a 96 Satria he SMASHED it last week about $15k of damage. He had 17's on it,

im thinking of been the ghoul and calling him to ask about the condition of the rims and how much he'd want for them.

They may be 4x100mm bolt pattern,....BUT
they won't all have the correct offset. If your lucky they will be stamped with the offset info on them. But more offten than not you will have to do some additional research. It's simply not worth it to get cheap rims is you have to turn around and LIMIT your tire choices.

Cross the VW's off the list since they do use 35mm offset's.

Yes the GTi only comes in Silver here as well, wierd that I am sure people would like to buy them in different colors. They sure are fast, 103KW in such a small car. Pity for the poor quality.

Walk away from any rim that has a offset that is less than 40mm!

As you go down in offset number the wheel is moving out towards the fender lip. If you go less than 40mm you will not be able to run with correct width and height of tire because your rear fender lips will be rubbing. By staying with 40mm to 45mm you will be able to run all the normal tire sizes.

Here's a example of offset from discount tires web site.

those arent the only 4X100mm cars, i know my friend who swapped some prelude rims onto his 93 escort, then later onto his 87 CRX and worked perfect. oh, and cant you get spacers to adjust the offset?

No on the spacers. I've never seen any 4x100mm rims that had a offset high enough for a spacer to be the solution. If you used a spacer on a 35mm offset you'd be pushing it out even further towards the fender lip, I'd be like a 25mm offset rim then, not good.

Based on how they explaine it at the link below, it would be negitive.

so does anyone out there know the specs on the ford focus wheels? The ones I'm talking about come on the ZX3, I think they're either 16 or 17. I have no idea of the offset or even lug pattern.

A Honda City is a Honda that is similar to the Ford Festiva in Japan. They are pretty small and some of them came turbo'ed.

Our wheels are a positive offset. That is why offset is marked with a +35. When reading the description it always seems backwards just like when figuring out ohmloads in a stereo.

Well that's why I worded my reply like I did. I thought they were postive. But if you visit discounts tire site and check out the link I show. They clearly discribe is as negitive camber, go figure.

hate to bust in here but...

toyota wheels, (like on the MR2 spyder) won't fit on honda.. it is 4X100, but all the toyota wheels are hub-centric.. The wheel actually slips over the hub edge, and is supported by that lip and the lugs..

the hub diameter is smaller than honda hub size.. so they won't work.. trust me, i've tried it

you guys are forgetting that they DO make camber kits, which change the offset, AND they sell adapters where you can put a 5-lug on a 4-lug vehicle!!!! unless we are talking about keeping things kinda cheap....if that's the case, nevermind...

And your forgetting that we do not have clearance issues on the front of the accord where camber correction is usually the only end of the car corrected. And you forgetting that lug nut bolt pattern adaptors all make the wheels stick out further and the rear tires will rub, and likely not just a little since most members like to run 205's with their rims and tires. I don't think 195 would solve the problem either. Point is, avoid the wrong bolt patterns and get the right one's.
