    *strut bar discovery*

hello people, i havent been on here lately because ive moved out of my parents house awhile back and now i dont have a computer anymore. i miss posting on here ive been quite busy on my car. i just put on some pacesetter ceramic coated headers on and theyre great and the the ceramic is still looking good. i got them from nopi for $219.

but anyways, i also have a new strut tower bar which i custom made. and ill tell you how i did it. i used the bar from an APC stut bar for a 98 integra and the mounts from an APC strut bar for a 94-97 accord. all i had to do was drill one hole in each mount and everything else fit perfectly. the bar from the integra cleared my intake pipe and throttlebody perfectly. it had the perfect height. heres the thing, i believe you can only use APC strut bars (because the bar legnth is adjustable). i got the bars at local auto parts stores for $29.99 (autozone, oreily, advance auto parts) sorry i dont have pics, i wish i did cuz it looks great, but i dont have a digicam no more...ill try and think of something. hope this helps anyone desperate for a strut bar like me...

That's what I was thinking when I saw a 4th gen strut bar at pep boys for $30. So I ran home and checked my WIFE'S 4th gen. I had the hoods of both cars, my 3rd gen and her 4th gen open, side to side. The cars are different enough that I gave up the idea. I forget exactly what it was. I will post tommarrow what it is.
I just need daylight to look under both hoods.

Do you think you could get a picture of that? because my brother works at pep boys and I don't think they will let me mis match the Items, if they could then I would. The DC Sports Strut tower bar is insanly priced!

you could switch up the parts you need when buying the 2 strut bars, then reassemble the remaining parts and take it back.

If you read the very first post from start to finish, what your talking about is addressed to allow the parts he mentions, to work.

But the Civic bars work on the carbs. The bars the Mike was selling for $75 a few months ago were just a $35 APC Civic bar. I think off a 92 and all years of the generation.
