Hi Folks,
I am working on an '88 Accord LXi. I am refilling my system with R134a. What should the readings be on my Gauges when the system is full?

on ur what guages?
has it been retrofitted yet? There's one compressor that was on the 3rd gen that isn't compatible with r134a

AC service gauges low side and high side. I retrofitted about a year ago.
Prior to retrofitting, the previous owner had the system repaired. They installed a new evap core, expansion valve, and a Sanden compressor and recharged with R12.
The fittings on the Sanden compressor were pushing against the driver side cooling fan and wore a hole on the low (suction) line.
I tried to fix the fitting, and then did the retro. I flushed out the evap core, replaced the expansion valve, replaced the accumulator, changed all the orings I could find and charged with R134a.
I worked OK, not freezing cold though. During the day I could get it down in the 50° range, and at night down to about 39°.
But the fitting kept rubbing against the fan and wearing a hole in the line. There was just no room in that tight space.
I went to the junkyard and found a "reman'ed" original style compressor. Flushed it out with 8 oz. of ester oil, installed it and evac'ed the system.
I charged the system, through the AC service gauges with 32 ozs. of R134a. The low side reads about 40 psi. and the high side reads about 350 psi. The center vent temp is between 56° and 60°.
Something ain't right. Any suggestions?
im out of practice with a/c stuff, but 350 is insane.
should be about 200-225 depending on outside temp. and low side is good at about 20-25.
im thinking maybe you have to much in it.
how many cans did you put in? honda's generally take about 2.5
you may have to much oil in it too.
I just had mine filled with some stuff my dad had and the low pressure is around 35 and the high is around 250. We charged it until the sightglass was clear.
