    Sound deadening on sub box

Can I use any kind of sound deadening on the outside on my sub box to avoid flexing and air leaks?

a good box shouldnt leak a bit. unless your pushing some major subs with bad ass amps, then nah. even then i dont think i've ever seen anything on the outside of a box. i'd get a new box if its leaking the bass out. dunno how a box would really flex, cuz mdf is some solid and hard shit.

Flexing sub box? Damn Ive seen it all but a box that actually flexed, if it would flex it would cause all sorts of trouble. I wouldnt worry about it, just get a good box.

wtf? o.O is it made out of fiberglass? are u talking about a bandpass box? if that's the case, just tighten the screws up a bit, or take it apart and put some 3m double sided tape and then screw it back up again...

if ur talking about a regular ported/sealed mdf box....and it's flexing, there's deffenetly something wrong homie.
