How to for removing/subsituting popup headlights?

Anyone seen a how to on this or even a good thread? I like the look w/o the pop up lights and using normal lights instead. Since I'll probably paint my car anyway it would be a good time to do it.

ugh, no pop-ups? gross. But if you want to do it, search for like EDM headlights, i'm pretty sure they're fixed. But imo, dont do it, they look weird

I've seen JDM and prelude headlights, but didn't really think those looked good. I like the ones on The Great Danes car, but I never found out how it was done.

What? ..and lose valuable aerodynamic properties?!?!!! lol. Nah, I just don't like the look. The handling and so many other things are nice about this car, just the out of date things like these headlights, trim, bumpers, etc.

The flip up lights aren't out of date. I think that makes this car unique and beautiful.

Re: How to for removing/subsituting popup headlights?

too much. here's apicture of the gd's car (recent AOM?):

this is a little boxy and i don't like all the black on the bumper, but you see it's conservative. i don't want $200 lights on a $500 car. i like the painted handles. I thought about doing a custom fiberglass mold for the front and rear bumper at one time. maybe i'll revisit that...

There's a guy in town with integra light on his 3g. Looks like he just cut room for it with a sawzall, and he prolly had to make brackets too. It looks bad, but I think he just did a shitty job on it. IMO, if you want that look, get a integra or civic, that's basically what you're doing to it. The pop-ups are sexy anyway. It's not a 3g anymore without 'em. Just look at military mace's, and you'll see just how clean the popups can look.

I wana do something like that, where did you get that from lol I could try and incorporate it into the 3gee........but then again, where could I just fine just the lights lol. I want a projector and solid lowbeam housing like that.

Looks like Integra lights, but with a different mold. It's concave instead of convex. Interesting! Best I've seen so far. Thanks for the post Blazin3gen. I like the dual projection. Guess I could attempt to fiberglass my own mold...? The trick is making it look good... and I have zero experience w/ fiberglass, lol.

Red prelude? Those lights are /hot/.. I might have to give that a go - do some measurements and try some foam and fibreglassing ..

    It's pretty
Anybody with a pulse and eyesight can get excited looking at $250,000 supercars. It takes a special kind of gearhead to drool over an Accord, Sentra, Corolla or anything else made out of parts found in dumpsters, scrap yards, and along the side of the highway.
