    question about alfa romeo webers

I was searching in ebay for a pair of 45 mm weber DCOEs, and I found that some old alfa romeos had them. Could they work, or are they built to work only with the alfa romeo motors?

    Another Stupid Question... Thanks

yup, i have a pair of 40DCOEs from an alfa romeo. just a standard weber DCOE. the only thing you may have to do is change the jetting and rebuild the carb since the carbs you'll be getting are quite old.

or you could just buy the alfa romeo, those things are badass

Of course I'm lazy. If I wanted to work on my car I'd have gotten a DSM

pierce manifolds in gilroy california, they are on the web too. they can answer all your webber questions and get you the correct jets for this motor. try them they'll set you up. you might have a little bit of a rough idle with the big dual webbers like that, but who cares once you step on the gas

rough idle would be corrected with proper jetting and tuning.

Re: question about alfa romeo webers

I had asked them all about that when i was considering this setup,I might still consider it, they said with big webbers like that it might be a little lopy just because of the size of the carbs themselves vs. the cubic inches of the engine. nothing to much to worry about, if i find a set of those i might rebuild them for myself. they actually make a manifold for dual webbers for this car,at least last time i checked they did,I'm sure they still have it since it's made in house. they had a kit with carbs and manifold for ths engine.

Phydeux had 40's on his 2G accord with the A20 motor. I dunno if he upped them to 45's.
