    Red face Lurking girl

I used to read a lot here, but actually forgot all about this site because I sold my 89 Accord LX. It was super clean, 15" GSR six spoke blades, baby blue turn signals in the front with the amber inserts removed. It was baby blue in color and had some a Japanese air freshener on the dash, and that was about it.
Before I sold the 89 Accord someone stole the wheels off of it then once I sold the car the new owner forgot to put the car in his name. Then I guess it was auctioned off or something. I didn't want it anymore. It would have costed me way too much to get the car the way I wanted it. Plus, I prefer the 1986 Prelude Si over the 1989 Accords. If I do an old Honda project car it will be a baby blue 86 Prelude Si for sure. But i do love the looks of the 89 Accord.
Now I have a new car.

    Red face Re: Lurking girl

    Thanks for the comments everyone!
I will try to scan one of my photos of the LX if I can get my scanner to work.

Here are some of the vehicles I have owned.
    86 Prelude
    86 Camry
    89 Accord LX
    90 Yamaha Zuma scooter
    83? Accord hatchback
    87? Toyota Corolla SR5
    80 Toyota Corolla wagon
    81 Corolla wagon
    and now the 05 Si

Like I said, I would rather have a 86 Prelude than a 3rd gen. Accord, but I still love the 89 Accord. The 89 is clearly the best model of the 3grd gen. Accords. The last year in each generation is always the best. The Se-i, the top of the line 89 Accord had crappy leather but wasn't that an automatic only? So it's clear that the 89 Accord LX-i was the best of the 3rd generation Accords.

My next car will probably be a Porsche or a STi, but that won't be for a few years. Maybe I can learn some stuff from this group about how to make your car fast. I want to see what kind of engine swaps everyone is doing. Anyone putting boosted K20A2 engines in their 3rd gen. Accords?

Replacing the plunger-like shift boot with a leather one would really complete the center dash. I still cannot understand what Honda was thinking when they integrated that horrid rubber boot into the dash. Even the JDM Type R comes with the rubber one. Black leather with red stitching looks great in place of it.

I don't want to own anything made out of dead animals. I prefer the looks of the rubber one as well. But I do plan on getting a Buddy Club short shift kit soon with new bushings.

Pregnant minivan!? lol Well, I gutted my ep3 heavily. I removed the back seat and all the plastic from the back. Working on the sound deadening material. I have removed about 150 lbs from this car so you could say she had an abortion. She is light and fast now. lol

Naw I'm not knocking your ride personally. I just the think the EP3 is one of the most awkward Honda body designs ever, but what do I know I like small, 22 year old, square hatchbacks, right? Have fun with your ride that's all that counts.

LOL Yes, I have been a vegetarian since I was 16 and I am about to turn 33. I think I had an old chat name on this website but I don't know where I wrote it down. So yes, there has been another vegetarian on these boards for some time now.

I say WORD to 86 Ludes. I heart them too. You NEED to boost that hatch though... Other than that i really like it (well... ok im not a big fan of the pink tint) but real cool. Most girls i know that are sorta into cars are bigtime ricers, so this is refreshing.
